The BGH-Brazilian Granite Hub natural stone portal presents the results of Brazilian exports from January to September 2019.

Brazilian exports of ornamental stones that include granite, marble and slate, among others, in the accumulated of this year, until the month of September, reached the amount of US $ 767,479,868. The value registered this year shows a slight increase when compared to the same period of the previous year.

From January to September 2018, the figure of Brazilian exports of ornamental stones was US $ 696,716,872. The positive variation is due to the increase in exports of items such as marble slabs and marble blocks. Regarding the exported tons, in the accumulated in 2019 until the month of September, 1,600,849 (T) were exported. In the same period of the previous year, exports recorded the figure of 1,511,472 (T).

Comparing the numbers of September 2019 with those of the same month in 2018, there is a considerable fall in exports of Brazilian ornamental stones. In 2018, the figure was US $ 94,440,775, compared to US $ 73,166,728 in September 2019. This decrease means -22.53% of Brazilian ornamental stone exports during this period. The biggest declines were in marble block exports and granite slabs.
